Now Enrolling!
Classes are now available in two levels!
Class Placement Information Starting Spring 2026:
On the first day of chess, all students will be assessed and placed into the appropriate class based on their current understanding of the game. This ensures that every child is learning at a pace that matches their skill and experience.
Level 1 – Beginner: Focuses on learning the fundamentals — piece movement, values, and basic rules like check, checkmate, castling, and en passant.
Level 2 – Advanced: Designed for students who already know the basics and are ready to explore advanced rules, tactics, and common checkmates such as Scholar’s Mate, Smothered Mate, and Ladder Mate.
Our instructors will make sure each student is placed in the class where they’ll feel both comfortable and challenged, setting them up for success throughout the session.
(Please note: Student placement may be adjusted throughout the semester as students demonstrate mastery and understanding.)
