Think Move Chess Academy offers two after-school chess classes at Center for Inquiry to accommodate different grade levels. Students in Grades K–2 may enroll in our Wednesday chess class, while students in Grades 3–5 may enroll in our Monday chess class. Both programs provide engaging instruction, tournament-style play, and opportunities to build critical thinking, strategy, and problem-solving skills through chess.

Families can now register for chess the full 2026–2027 school year at Center for Inquiry. Students registered for the full school year will receive a tournament chess board, chess pieces, and travel chess bag included with enrollment.
Semester registration is also available for families who prefer to enroll in the fall-only or spring-only session.

Each child should be registered separately through our registration forms.
If you are enrolling multiple siblings, simply select “Register Here”, complete your child’s registration form, select “Add to Cart“ then complete your next child’s registration.

Full-year registration includes 24 weeks of instruction plus a tournament chess board, chess pieces, and a Think Move Chess Academy chess bag.

Yes. Families may register for the fall semester only or the spring semester only if they prefer a shorter commitment.

Yes. Students of all experience levels are welcome and supported.

Great! Our program supports beginner through advanced students. Coaches group students by experience level and provide more challenging instruction for returning and competitive players.

Absolutely. Many of our strongest players are returning students. Continued participation helps students deepen their understanding and prepare for tournament play.

Yes. Our curriculum builds year to year, and returning students continue developing stronger strategy, tactics, tournament skills, and confidence. Each school year introduces new material and challenges appropriate for their level.
